One of baseball’s most dynamic prospects will soon be in the big leagues. The Tigers are calling up outfielder Max Clark ahead of this weekend’s road series against the Athletics, a team source told The Athletic on Thursday.

Clark is the 13th-ranked prospect on Keith Law’s recent rankings for The Athletic, released last week.

News of the promotion, confirmed by a team source who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly, was first reported by Emily Waldon, a prospects writer for Baseball America.

Clark, the No. 3 pick in the 2023 draft, was hitting .338 with a 1.038 OPS this month in Triple-A Toledo.

Clark is a speedy outfielder known for smart swing decisions and is also one of baseball’s most recognizable young players. Clark has 436,000 followers on Instagram and became an online sensation long before turning pro.

The Tigers have yet to announce a corresponding move, but outfielder Matt Vierling left Wednesday’s game with a groin injury.

This story will be updated.
